Thunder and Lightning Strike Twice

Bored in the evenings? Looking for a fun way to exercise? Loved netball at school and always fancied getting back into it? Now is your chance…
St. Asaph Ladies Netball Club is entering its 4th season and this is promising to be the most exciting yet! After a successful summer league finishing 2nd as an amalgamated St. Asaph Storm, we are again entering the North West Wales winter league with our 2 firmly established teams - Thunder and Lightning. St. Asaph Thunder had an extremely successful season last year and have now been promoted to Division 1, with St. Asaph Lightning also finishing strong in Division 3 despite being plagued by injuries and pregnancy!
We pride ourselves in our relaxed attitude towards the game, it is often noted how friendly we are and although we take the season seriously, our main aim is to enjoy ourselves and have fun. We cater for a wide range of abilities from beginner through to advanced with an age range from 14+ and this is part of what makes this club so fantastic. We don’t take ourselves too seriously and playing netball is a real tonic (without the gin!) to have time out from real life.
We couldn’t do any of this without the support from St. Asaph Rotary Club who recently provided us with another generous donation which will ensure we will continue to play with the best equipment and represent the club and St. Asaph in our striking yellow and black dresses. Huge thank you again for your unwavering support as seen in the photo below.
We’re always on the search for new players and the first training session is completely free so what do you have to lose? Training is every Wednesday 1945-2115 in the newly refurbished St. Asaph Leisure Centre and matches are played on Monday evenings. We are also always looking for umpires too so if you have ever fancied doing an umpiring course or have already done one please get in touch.
