Chatterbooks is a nationwide network of children’s reading groups, coordinated by the Reading Agency which are held in libraries and schools. Childrens’ author, Jacqueline Wilson is the Projects Patron, and the aim of the programme is to encourage a love of reading, improve confidence; raise enthusiasm for books and talking about them.
During each session we’ll use craft and games to open up discussions about the last book read, and think about if we’d recommend it to someone else. This month we’ll be discussing Billionaire Boy by David Walliams, which was televised over Christmas.
It would be great to see some new faces in our current group at St Asaph One Stop Shop/Library. Pop by to request a book if you want your children to join in, or come to the next meeting. Below is a link to the national website.
