Saints Round Up

Following a promising start to the season in Welsh Alliance League and several cup competitions the Saints hit a bad patch of form which saw them knocked out of three cup competitions and loose two league games in succession. They returned to form in their last match before writing this report with a hard fought 1-0 win over Greenfield.
The Youth team are still competing well against older teams in the Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League. They were unfortunate to loose 2-1 against Denbigh Albion. They had an excellent 4-2 victory over Cymru Hotspur in the President`s Cup and hope to build on this victory in the coming weeks.
The Under 16s continue to impress having lost only one league fixture this season. Sitting fourth in the League with games in hand over the teams above them. Recent victories over Rhyl Commandos 10-0 and Llannefydd 4-0 has seen the lads playing with confidence, playing a passing game which is exciting to watch.
The Under 14s havenít played many matches over the Christmas period but remain top of the league seven points ahead of their nearest opponents and remain undefeated from the start of the season in both League and Cup matches.
The Under 12s have been showing great commitment since coming back from the Christmas break and it`s showing in their performances. They are starting to make progress and play each game giving 110%. They are playing for each other and putting everything into every tackle. Results are as yet not reflecting their progress but it`s only a matter of time before their hard work pays off.
The Under 9s and 10s have had a couple of games called off lately but they are working hard in training. Some new players have joined lately which has strengthened the playing squads of both age groups. They have played well in their matches, creating plenty of chances on the counter attack and just need that bit of confidence to be up at the top of the league.
