Dear Editor
May I please take this opportunity to say a huge thankyou to all those involved in the wonderful flower show in your cathedral.
As visitors from Sussex staying in the area we were delighted to visit the beautiful cathedral and were bowled over by our luck in choosing to visit during the festival when we were able to not only appreciate the wonderful architecture and history but the added bonus of a spectacular floral display.
It really was the highlight of our visit to North Wales and one we will never forget.
The welcome we received was warm and encouraging, the flowers were wonderful and your tiny city was a delight.
Many, many thanks for a wonderful visit.
Tom and Lorna Chesters.
Dear City Times,
St. Asaph can chalk up another successful event !
It may be a very small city with an even smaller participating group of volunteers but the four day festival to celebrate city status was a tribute to all those involved. There really was something for everyone to enjoy. A Flower festival which attracted over 1000 visitors, a wonderful concert, plenty for the youngsters in the Parish Church, great football tournament, tasty Hog Roast (superb crackling), a fun treasure hunt and a brilliant firework display.
The Scarecrows were great and showed imagination and skills and the work of the Merched y Wawr displayed in the Llanelwy Church was a treat for anyone interested in crafts.
Decorating the traffic bollards on the High Street was a real fun part of the celebrations and congratulations should go to those responsible for their ingenuity.
All together a really good four days of events for everyone. Well done!
