Llanelwy Christian Fellowship was launched in 2001 but for the last 3 years we have been called Llanelwy Community Church, which maybe reflects better what we are trying to be.
that time there have been three former pastors in Adrian, Ben and Simon who all made valuable contributions and since January 1st John Thompson has been in charge as Interim Pastor. In due course we hope to appoint a new man to the role and John may well be that man.
all organisations we have had our ups and downs and have learnt from them all as is true in life. How can you get through the tough times? I think talking to others and sharing your troubles is good and the support of friends and family is key. In church we certainly find the support of our fellow Christians to be important and of course even more so we can receive God’s support by praying over situations, which often gives us a special peace.
At Llanelwy Community Church we are moving into a new exciting period. We want to become more involved in the community supporting those in need where we can. We are aware that in the past we used to have a far more vibrant work amongst the youth of the town than we have now and we are looking to address that. Many families struggle these days with the pressures of modern life. We also know that in the older members of the community there is a lot of loneliness and hardship and as Christians we need to be aware of that too. Please put a note through our door or use our web site (www.llcf.org.uk) if there are any ways in which you would value the support of the Christian community in St Asaph — ourselves or any of the other churches
