Rhyl & District Quiz League – Finals Night

The league consists of two divisions, each accommodating ten teams. Two of the teams represent St. Asaph, Quacks and Plaid Llanelwy, and both play in the 1st Division. The Quacks play their home games at the Conservative Club, and the Plaid team are now at Rhuddlan Golf Club, having previously played at the Swan Inn.
A successful 2016/2017 season came to an end with the Finals Night held at Rhuddlan Golf Club on Wednesday, 12th April. On the night, the long established Quacks team were winners of the John Parker Memorial Trophy, beating the Castle Classics from Rhuddlan.
Plaid Llanelwy are one of the oldest teams in the league, having originally played out of the old Cricket Social Club befor moving to the New Inn and then the Swan. Over the years other pubs in St. Asaph have accommodated quiz teams – notably The Bryn and Kentigern’s.
