Busy Times at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd

The men of the Hospital League of Friends were kept busy on St. Valentineís Day and are pictured on the right during a break from spreading some romantic goodwill.
The ladies of the League of Friends sold goods of a Welsh nature on St.Davidís Day to help boost funds while, pictured below, Mair Dowell, a member of Tremeirchion Carol Singers presents a cheque for £5090 to the Chair of the League of Friends, Iona Edwards.

St. Davidís Day Celebrations at Downing Street

On St David's Day, Dr James Davies MP attended a celebration at 10 Downing Street, hosted by Theresa May. Dr Davies was accompanied by Cllr Ann Davies, Chairman of Denbighshire County Council, her daughter and consort, Jane Hugo, and Cllr Hugh Evans, Leader of Denbighshire County Council. in attendance were Bethan and Garry Owen of Rhyl, and Naomi Lea of St Asaph. and Naomi were awarded the Prime Minister's 'Points of Light' volunteers award at the event. reception was held to celebrate Welsh business, sport and food and a number of businesses showcased their products including the Rhyl based Snowdonia Cheese Company.
James Davies MP said: ĎIt was a privilege to attend this celebration and meet a number constituents who were also in attendance. Ensuring Wales, and North Wales in particular, is high on the Prime Ministerís agenda is a key aim for me as MP for the Vale of Clwyd.í
