Sanlam Join The Business Park Community
UK wealth management business, Sanlam, were pleased to welcome neighbouring businesses of St Asaph Business Park on Monday 12th December 2016 to celebrate their recent move from Rhyl to the Business Park. Joined by local businesses, Sanlam hosted a festive affair with mince pies and mulled wine whilst looking to help the local community, inviting local businesses to contribute food and toy parcels to The King Storehouse Foodbank in Rhyl who offer people a 'hand up not just a hand out' for families in our community who may find Christmas a financial struggle.
Client and Adviser Support Manager, Emma Fairhurst from Sanlam, said: "We were delighted with the response and very much hope the donations helped bring a little Christmas cheer and wish to thank our employees, neighbouring businesses, Sage & Company Accountants and Royal National Lifeboat Institution for their support."
Chatterbooks at St. Asaph Library
Chatterbooks is a nationwide network of children’s reading groups, coordinated by the Reading Agency which are held in libraries and schools. Childrens’ author, Jacqueline Wilson is the Projects Patron, and the aim of the programme is to encourage a love of reading, improve confidence; raise enthusiasm for books and talking about them.
During each session we’ll use craft and games to open up discussions about the last book read, and think about if we’d recommend it to someone else. This month we’ll be discussing Billionaire Boy by David Walliams, which was televised over Christmas.
It would be great to see some new faces in our current group at St Asaph One Stop Shop/Library. Pop by to request a book if you want your children to join in, or come to the next meeting.
