St Asaph based Kent Periscopes Limited presented with Queens Award for International Trade

Kent Periscopes Limited, based on the St Asaph Business Park, was recently presented with the Queens Award by the Lord Lieutenant for Clwyd Mr Henry George Featherstonhaugh OBE.
The Queen’s Award for Enterprise was received for International Trade in recognition of having achieved outstanding growth in overseas sales over a period of 3 years.
John Oliver, General Manager of Kent Periscopes, said “We have grown strongly and profitably from the outset, not only winning significant contracts in our home UK market but also establishing ourselves as a preferred supplier of periscopes to many of the leading armoured fighting vehicle manufacturers around the world. Last year over 80% of our business was exported all over the world to countries such as Brazil, Canada, Spain, Malaysia and South Africa. It’s a credit to all our employees that we have been able to manage the varied demands and requirements of all these different customers and countries. With a significant forward order book and a growing number of new prospects we are now poised to enter a further exciting phase of investment and growth.”

Christmas Comes Early at the Pennaf Housing Group

Christmas came early at the Pennaf Housing Group, based on the Business Park in St Asaph, this week when staff organised a collection of shoebox gifts for the Operation Christmas Child charity.
The initiative was arranged by Kayleigh Smith, Plumbing and Heating Engineer with the PenAlyn Team, which provides the in-house maintenance to Clwyd Alyn Housing Association homes, which are part of the Pennaf Group.
David Lewis, Corporate Director Asset Management for Pennaf said: “Kayleigh has inspired staff across the group to fill up shoe boxes for this excellent cause which sends gifts around the world for children in desperate circumstances, and a total of 47 boxes were collected from staff across the Group.”
