Lewis Scott Welsh “Champion of Champions"

St Asaph's Lewis Scott won the Bowls Welsh Champion of Champions held at Cunliffe BC on Sunday 2nd October.
Lewis beat Lisa Harrison in the first round 21-7.Next he had a great game against John Bailey coming from behind 20-17 to eventually pip John 21-20.In the semi-final he beat David Walker who had won the Bill Hughes trophy earlier in the Summer 21-19. .In the final, Lewis beat reigning Welsh Merit winner Graham Bennett 21-6 playing consistently well in the corners.
Lewis picked up the £500.00 first prize as well as the very prestigious Trophy. This rounds off a very successful year for St Asaph BC.

Welsh Novice Heavyweight Champion

Congratulations to Lloyd Hogg on becoming the Welsh Novice Heavyweight Champion. Lloyd won the title recently at Port Talbot by winning in the final on an unanimous decision. Lloyd has been boxing for just over two years and to date has won five of his six bouts with the only defeat coming on a split decision.
The Final was Lloyd`s second fight as a heavyweight and he boxed his first 3x3 minute rounds in the final. Lloyd has trained really hard these last few months at Clwyd ABC by trainers Darral Jones, Justin Jones, John Drummond and supported by his father Lee.
