Remembrance Sunday

The annual Remembrance Sunday service in the Cathedral was very well attended as can be seen by the following parade to the cenotaph where the two minutes silence was observed and numerous poppy wreaths laid by representatives of local organisations.
The Bishop of St. Asaph, the Rt. Rev. Dr. Gregory Cameron and the Dean, the Very Rev. Nigel Williams, led the service of Remembrance and Armenian Priest Fr. Torkom Donoyan from the Armenian Apostolic Church sang a Contakim, an Armenian prayer hymn. The Mayor, Councillor Colin Hardie and Councillor John Roberts read the lessons.
The Act of Remembrance at the cenotaph was led by the Bishop and the Dean and the “Last Post” was sounded by trumpeter Aled Evans. The Kohima Epitaph was spoken by Councillor Peter Scott. The City of St. Asaph Standard Bearer was Major Bradley Percival and the parade marshal was Cllr. Andrew Thomas.
